Education is crucial for societal development, with teachers playing a central role in shaping the next generation. The Government of India emphasizes the importance of establishing teachers as respected members of society, linking their quality to teacher education. A strong reading habit among teachers and trainee teachers is essential for continuous learning and effective teaching. The National Education Policy (2020) aims to enhance reading habits through expanded public and digital libraries. Research indicates a significant correlation between reading habits and academic success, highlighting that good book study habits are vital for teachers and trainee teachers alike. This study explores the book study habits of trainee teachers, as no prior research in this area has been reported.
