The ethical conduct of teachers makes them accountable for their actions towards the society and the community which entrusts its young ones to their care and education, towards the pupils, towards the authorities who supervise their actions and most importantly towards their own self. The most important dimension is psychology of ethical consciousness. Social morality is another dimenssion of ethics. The third dimension of ethics is rooted in metaphysics or philosophy in general.
